Mark Timmerman claimed the official victory in the B-Mini Stock race ran at the Anderson Motor Speedway on Friday night July 23, 2010. The top six cars ran side by side and nose to tail the entire first lap before David Darnell took over the lead at the end of the lap. Darnell held the lead until the end of lap six when he was bypassed by BJ Thrasher. On the following lap Mark Timmerman went by Darnell to take over the second position. The top three ran within string distance of each other for the next six laps before the battle ensued once again. On lap thirteen the top three ran bumper to bumper when Timmerman made his move. He tried to get past Thrasher before the end of lap thirteen but Thrasher held him off. But on lap fourteen Thrasher failed to hold off Timmerman and lost the top position to him. On lap fifteen Darnell dropped off the pace and went to the pits. Once out front Timmerman held the lead the remainder of the race and took second in a row and fifth of the season. Chad Campbell moved to the second position on lap nineteen but by then Timmerman had already pulled away from the field. Chad Campbell finished second. BJ Thrasher finished third. Ben Kay finished fourth. Chuck Mitchell finished fifth.
Shawn Campbell claimed the official victory in the “Talking Phonebook” Renegades division. Jim Reynolds led the first six laps of the race with Jamie McCall and Shawn Campbell all over him. On lap seven Campbell made his move and went by both McCall and Reynolds to take the lead. Once out front Campbell pulled away to take his sixth victory of the season. Jamie McCall finished second. Jim Reynolds finished third. Al Stokes finished fourth. Tracy Roberts finished fifth.
Barry Tollison claimed the official victory in the “ Racer’s Edge” Super Renegade division. Tollison led every lap of the race and picked up his sixth victory of the season. Whitey Suttles held the second position throughout the race and appeared to be cutting into Tollison’s lead early in the race but eventually held the distance to a stand still but failed to cut the deficit. Whitey Suttles finished second. Barry Tollison finished third. Billy Lusk finished fourth. James Garnier finished fifth.
Matt Meyers claimed the official victory in the B-M Modified division. Meyers led every lap of the race and was never challenged for the top position. Bryce Malcom held the second position the first half of the race with Alan Mitchell holding the position the second half of the race but neither of the two could get close to Meyers. Alan Mitchell finished second. Bryce Malcom finished third. Casey Tucker finished fourth. Jim Skinner finished fifth.
Avery Burgess claimed the official victory in the C-Mini Stock division. Burgess grabbed the lead at the start of the race and held it until lap seven when he lost the top position to Kyre Mullaney. Mullaney led the next six laps of the race with Burgess glued to his bumper each lap. On lap thirteen Burgess over took Mullaney to regain the lead which he held the final two laps and took the checkered flag. The victory was the second in a row for Burgess. Kyre Mullaney finished second. Russell Powell finished third.
Will Fagan claimed the official victory in the Georgia Mini Cups Future Stars race. Fagan led every lap of the race and easily out paced the remainder of the field. Mason Elzey finished second. Eric Brookshire finished third. Brody Bullard finished fourth. Austin Raines finished fifth.
Casey Willingham claimed the official victory in the Georgia Mini Cup Open division. Will Fagan led the first lap before Willingham over took him. Once out front Willingham pulled away for the victory. Will Fagan finished second.
