Seventy Eight Year Old Al Stokes Takes Renegades, Gibson Holds Off Meyers For B-M Modified Victory
Ralph Carnes claimed the official victory in the Late Model race ran at the Anderson Motor Speedway on Friday night June 25, 2010.  Randy Porter was the fastest qualifier with a time of 15.352 seconds but that is where the good luck ran out on Porter.  A dice was rolled and the top two were inverted with Ralph Carnes starting on the pole and porter outside him.  During the pace laps porter’s car stopped on the track and had to be pushed to the pits.  Porter’s crew got the car started but Porter had to start at the rear.  Two laps later Porter rolled back into the pits and that was the end of his night as an ignition coil failed in his car.  Ralph Carnes grabbed the lead at the start of the race but he held it only the first lap before he was passed by Neil Meredith.  Meredith held the lead until lap seven when Carnes bypassed him and regained the top spot.  Once out front the second time Carnes began to pull away.  Meredith remained within five cars lengths of Carnes the first half of the race but by the end of the race Carnes held a ten car length advantage.  Neil Meredith finished second.  Anthony Cordell finished third.  Justin Ashley finished fourth.  Mitchell Mote finished fifth.

Barry Tollison Jr. claimed the official victory in the Super Renegade division.  Tollison Jr. led every alp of the race on his way to another victory.  Whitey Suttles pulled to within a car length of Tollison several times but failed to make a serious bid to overtake him.  Whitey Suttles finished second.  Barry Tollison Sr. finished third.  Bryan Beckner finished fourth.  Dave Beckner finished fifth.
